BANDUNG- The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) was reviewing the implementation of odd-even on this year homecoming flow.
Head of Transportation Department of West Java, Dedy Taufik, said that West Java was the path and destination of hoomecoming flow. Thus, it affected toward the policy of odd-even. However, the Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affirs was still reviewing the policy.
"However, until now the Kemenhub is still reviewing, we analyse first is it effective or not with this extreme regulation. So we experience the difference with the previous year," he said to the journalists in BAndung, Monday (17/4/2017).
Dedy added that the policy had to be analysed including the discussion of particular pathways evacuation that must be integrated if there is congestion.
"Yes it is still in process, maybe in few days Kemenhub will invite Dishub of West Java especially for those that become tha path of homecoming of flow such as Banten, Jakarta Capital Special Region, West Java, Central Java, and East Java," he said.
For this moment, Dishub of West Java would try to move the transportation mode from personal transportation to mass transit. One of them was by rolling the free homecoming initiated by the Ministry of Transportation, the Provincial Government of West Java, including State Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
"Alhamdulillah, the free homecoming from West Java Provincial Government will be dispatched from the three point as in Sukabumi city, Bekasi city and Bandung City," he said. MAT
