    The Number of Unemployed in Indonesia Decreases


    BANDUNG-Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) has written the number of unemployed in productive age reached 530 thousand people. That number decreases than last year that reached 7,3 million people.

    As a respond for that, the Rectorate of Telkom University (Tel-U), Mochammad Ashari explained that education in Telkom University has focused more on being entreprenur, so that they can compete independently or collectively.

    According to him, one of the featured programs in Tel-U is entrepreneur, and it is supported by technology of information and art.

    "One of core competence in Telkom University is entrepreneur, and it is supported by technology of information and art. We apply that during learning process in classes, so that when they have graduated from the university, they are ready to compete in an industrial world," he said to reporters, in Bandung, Thursday (4/20/17).

    Ashari suggested that Universities in Indonesia should help each other to actualize nation's dreams, by deciding universities as producers of human resources that were capable and having spirit to build and improve the nation.

    "Indonesia as a nation with the largest projected economy growth in Southeast Asia in 2020, encouraging creativity, innovation, and invention in economics activities among younger genaration. This momentum should be as motivation for Telkom University's alumni" he concluded.

    Previously, Tel-U has been graduating 840 bachelors, 83 diplomas, and 58 Masters. From 981 students, 235 students have graduated with cumlaude GPA. The graduation has completed the number of alumni of Telkom University that spread in 30 countries that reach 36,763 alumni.
