BOGOR CITY-Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) said that the existence of technology and information technology (IT) is developing only a tool to achieve goals and targets in relation to the smart city. But human intelligence must be combined with artificial intelligence (technology) to provide better welfare and advancement and finally the decision-making is human or leader.
This was expressed by JK when opening the Ceremony of Smart City of Indonesia (RKCI) 2017 event at Main Building II Vice President of the Republic of Indornesia Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (04/05/2017) yesterday.
JK emphasized that the existence of technology will not have a beneficial effect if not used properly, but technology can make all become connected. He also asserted, so do not ever assume that "great computer" able to solve the problem, still human being able to solve the problem.
"Speaking smart city not to the tool, but the result. So the first to be smart is the human or the leader. With human intelligence combined with artificial intelligence to make the city better in the face of challenges that certainly also more able to compile all the needs in a single conclusion in making decisions or actions, that's just smart, "said JK.
President Director of Metro TV Suryopratomo said that in connection with Smart City, there are six measures established by the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), namely Smart Goverment, Smart Environment, Smart People, Smart Economy, Smart Mobility Smart Living.
"It's a job that is not easy and takes a long time. It is the responsibility of all of us as a society, "he explained.
Rector of Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) Kadarsah Suryadi said that smart city has a very central role in supporting and realizing the achievement of state goals, especially in promoting public welfare and educating the nation. He hopes that the RKCI rating will be able to become a stimulus for the region to advance its territory. "To realize smart city, basic infrastructure becomes the main prerequisite and become the main requirement such as sanitation, clean water, energy, telecommunication, transportation, garbage, health infrastructure, education, Public and others.
