Head of Railway Station Bandung, Saridal said the existence of freight transport at Gedebage container station at this time needs support from various parties, especially entrepreneurs to re-enliven the logistics business.
"Since the beginning of this year, January 2017, Gedebage status is no longer a dry port but as a Temporary Shelter Terminal or TPS. But that does not mean the shipping business stopped, it can be used by export and import entrepreneurs from West Java," he said on Wednesday (12/7).
Currently, the delivery of goods through Gedebage Station is still very small. That's because the operating time is not every day. That is only on the weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday only. It was only three departures.
The decline of container freight occurred since the Cipularang toll road opened. When there is a breakdown of toll road in Cisomang toll, there is an increase in the delivery of goods.
