BANDUNG-PT Bio Farma (Persero) was awarded IPTEK Abyudaya Award from Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti), on the anniversary of National Technology Day (Harteknas 22) in Makassar, South Sulawesi on Thursday (10/8), which was enlivened by RITECH EXPO exhibition.
From the release of PT Bio Farma, Abyudaya Award is one of the awards given to the Agency for the achievement of successful innovation, so as to generate added value, both in commercial, economic and socio-cultural.
The award was handed over directly by Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Mohamad Nasir, to the Director of Planning and Development of Bio Farma, Sugeng Raharso.
According to Sugeng, this award is the result of innovation from Bio Farma in second generation Erytropoetin (EPO) research, Diagnostic Kits Research of Diabetes Mellitus and several other innovations. "Innovation is one of the culture of Bio Farma, which is doing continuous improvement and development to generate new ideas. This is of course a must for biotech companies like Bio Farma, along with the development of science in the growing medical field ", said Sugeng.
Sugeng added, in the future, Bio Farma, will focus on life-science products in addition to products that already exist today vaccines and anti-sera ".
