BANDUNG-The sector of creative economy that continues to grow, has considerable potential to drive Indonesia economy. This was conveyed by the Head of the Central Bureau of Statistics, Suhariyanto, to www.jabarprov.go.id, in an event in Bandung, Thursday (10/8).
According to Suhariyanto, based on data recorded in BPS, last year the creative economy sector was able to contribute about 7.38 percent of the total growth of the Indonesia economy.
"The creative economy sector is also able to absorb labor that reach 15 million people and produce exports about 13% of total exports of Indonesia," he said.
Suhariyanto said, from the findings of BPS there are three sectors that contribute to the improvement of the Indonesian economy, namely culinary, fashion and craft.
"From our findings there are 3 big donation, the first culinary then fashion and craft," he said.
