    The Development Progress of Kertajati Airport is Significant

    BANDUNG-SOE's PT International Airport West Java (PT BIJB) ensures the progress of physical construction of Kertajati Airport, Majalengka is more significant.

    President Director of PT BIJB Virda Dimas Ekaputra said as of August 26, the development of the air side that became the central authority as well as the land that is the responsibility of his side has been running according to the target.

    "Alhamdulillah the air side has started the work for the manufacture of RESA (runway end safety area), and the air side has started the cross taxiway and apron connections, so it is connected," he said in a corporation official statement on Sunday (27/08/2017).

    Currently the Airnav has also started installing the facade in the tower. This navigation tower is certainly interesting considering the facade will be built in the form of Kujang, the original weapon of Sunda. "Main power house also has installed 6 genset with 12megawatt capacity," he said.

    In the field now underway the construction of road side air areas. Meanwhile, for the land side Virda said that the main terminal has been walled even in plaster. "The ground floor has begun to install ceramic. Plafond installation has begun," he explained.

    One by one completeness inside the terminal was completed. Among other facilities that have been completed toilet is equipped with facilities for difable and nursery room. "Ducting (cable) air conditioner has been installed," he said.

    Then there are other settlements such as steel boarding lounge frames already installed, then preparing the installation of the main terminal steel frame. "The steel terminal of the main terminal frame is being prepared, the ramp intersection, the dropzone is on the floor, hopefully the development will run smoothly and successfully," he concluded.

    Kertajati Majalengka Airport is targeted by the government to operate in the first quarter of 2018.
