West Java Election Budget is Still Proportional

BANDUNG-West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) said that the budget of West Java Election is still fair and proportional.

"There is no high cost but there is a proportional cost," he said to reporters at the Gedung Sate Bandung, Monday (13/11/2017)

Aher said, the determination of head of region election funds in accordance with the provisions set by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) so that all budgets issued during the head of region election can be accounted for properly. So far the mechanism of oversight of budget Election of West Java done well.

"Do not doubt about West Java, during this election budget supervision done well," said Aher.

Aher admitted that head of region requires a high cost because it depends on the number of residents in the area. He cited if the population of only 2.5 million inhabitants would cost a small. While West Java with a population of 47 million people would require a high cost of elections.

"But it is still proportional with the number of residents who will carry out the head of region election, because the calculation is multiplied by the total population," he said.

If done in a minimalist implementation of the head of region election feared would disrupt the smooth implementation of the five-year democracy celebration.

"In fact, if we reduce the budget we are worried head of region election does not go well," said Aher

Furthermore, the Governor of West Java added that West Java regional election costs did not differ much from the previous period of Rp1.1 trillion while for the period of 2018 it reached almost Rp 1.6 trillion.

"Now all the attributes are contrived by the General Election Commision, it is different if it was made for each of them, I think the cost of West Java head of region election is moderate cost," he concluded (MAT)
