    Aher Appealed Community Do not Refuse Immunization

    Meanwhile, Chairman of PKK Team of West Java Province Netty Heryawan said the community was asked not to doubt the immunization proclaimed by the government so he appealed to the whole community to support the simultaneous immunization program for children aged one to 19 years related to efforts to prevent diphtheria outbreaks in five regencies / cities that exist in this region.

    "So any health problems faced by the community are the responsibility of the government, both provincial and regency / city governments, so the government should be able to provide excellent service to the community," Netty Heryawan said.

    He also hopes West Java Provincial Health Office can work quickly with referral hospitals or Regional Hospital in West Java to provide the best service.
    On the other hand, data from the Head of the West Java Provincial Health Office stated that one-third of diphtheria sufferers are not immunized while the effective effort to prevent the occurrence of diphtheria itself is by immunization.

    Previous West Java Provincial Health Office will hold simultaneous immunization for children aged one to 19 years related efforts to prevent the epidemic of diphtheria in five regencies / cities and it is estimated there are about 3,629,178 people who became the target of the program.

    He said the decision to hold simultaneous immunizations was the result of a meeting of the Director General of Disease Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Health on Wednesday (6/12).

    The number of cases of diphtheria disease recorded until December 4, 2017 in West Java reached 116 cases with 13 child deaths, while until Thursday the number of diphtheria cases in West Java to 123 cases and no additional casualties.

    The most populated areas of diphtheria in West Java are in Purwakarta and Karawang regency with the details of Purwakarta Regency 27 cases and Karawang Regency 14 cases. (Even)
