BANDUNG- The Bank Indonesia survey indicates that the economy of West Java Province at the beginning of the first quarter of 2018 is still growing. This was stated by Head of Representative of Bank Indonesia of West Java Province, Wiwiek Sisto Widayat.
According to Wiwiek, the survey indicated that consumer optimism on the economy was relatively stable at the beginning of Q1 / 2018 as reflected in the West Java Consumer Confidence Index (IKK) at 134 or the same level as the previous month.
"This condition is supported by the Consumer Economic Index (IKE) which increased 117 to 120 while the Consumer Expectation Index (IEK) declined from 151 to 148," he said.
Wiwiek stated that residential and residential property prices in the first quarter of 2018 indicated that residential property prices are expected to slow down by 4.52% or lower compared to the growth of the fourth quarter of 2017 with the index of residential property price index (IHPR) 263.86.
"Based on the type of house, the slowdown occurred in all types, while for the increase in commercial property prices triggered increase in hotel room rates per night and high demand for apartment and office segments," he said. (Parno)
