BANDUNG - Located at Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), Bali, PT DI takes part in Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) 2018 in Bali. This is the first forum of the Government of Indonesia to bring together government, business and stakeholders from Indonesia and African countries.
Vice President Muhammad Jusuf Kalla stated that in addition to improving the economic and defense cooperation that has been established, this forum will also discuss strategic issues between Indonesia and African countries.

On the first day of the IAF 2018, PT DI's President Director, Elfien Goentoro and President & CEO A.D. Trade Belgium Company, Gaby Peretz as business partner of Senegal and Ivory Coast Government signed Framework Agreement for the sale of 2 (two) units of NC212-200 Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA) and 1 (one) unit of CN235-220 Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) to the Senegal Air Force, as well as 1 (one) unit CN235-220 Military Transport to Ivory Coast Air Force.
In addition, there are other business potentials in cooperation with local companies in the African countries especially in the areas of upgrades, modifications, modernization & Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) for CN235 aircraft and NC212 aircraft which are still operating in countries Africa.
"We offer countries in Africa for the development of Human Resource skills and knowledge in the aircraft manufacturing industry," said Elfien Goentoro, President Director of PT DI.
In conducting market penetration in African countries, PT DI is assisted by the Embassy or the Representative Office of the Republic of Indonesia in the countries that are the target market of PT DI and establish cooperation with industrial partners / business partners of Foreign Affairs who have access to the countries become the target market of PT DI.
For information, on December 27, 2016, PT DI has successfully conducted a ferry flight aircraft CN235-220M Multi Purpose Aircraft for the Senegal Air Force flown from Husein Sastranegara Airport, Bandung to Dakar, Senegal. The aircraft was able to carry all the crew safely and provide a very meaningful experience for pilots and crew over the course of more than 50 hours of flight.
The aircraft is very easy to use and has the best glass cockpit feature to facilitate our work because it is easy to use, said Ndiaye Amadou, Head of Air Force Operations Senegal, as the CN235-220M Multi Purpose Aircraft arrived in Dakar, Senegal.
Then on August 08, 2017, A.D. Trade Belgium Company as Business Partner Senegal once again signed a contract to purchase a unit of CN235-220 Maritime Patrol Aircraft aircraft made by PTDI for the Senegal air force. In addition to Senegal, CND35 made by PTDI has been used by Burkina Faso and Guinea.
Other African countries have begun to look for and are interested in purchasing CN235 aircraft made by PT DI, especially for national security and possible use in peacekeeping missions in the African region. The participation of PT DI in Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) 2018 will be a good opportunity to introduce PT DI's flagship products such as CN235-220, NC212i and N219 aircraft and increase Indonesia's export potential to Africa.
