BANDUNG - Javanese and Sundanese ethnic reconciliation efforts will be more familiar with the path or cultural approach. This was stated by the Governor of West Java Ahmad Heryawan in opening speech of the Sundanese Javanese Culture Harmony in Gedung Sate, Friday morning (11/5/2018).

"Apparently the cultural approach is the most fitting and most effective in re-applying the Sundanese and Javanese ethnic fraternity, which has been psychologically disturbed for years since the Bubat war in the past," he said.

Therefore, according to Aher, the performance effort together with the showcase of culture and art will each continue to be pursued by the three regions of West Java, Yogyakarta and East Java.

"Thanks to Sultan Jogja Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X who have initiated this reconailation last year, held the first meeting between Sundanese and Javanese culturalists, then inaugurated the name of King Prabu Siliwangi Street and Padjadjaran Street in Yogya" he said.

Action according to Aher resumed in Surabaya with same activities namely the inauguration of the street name Siliwangi and Sunda street in the city of Surabaya.

"And today it is West Java's turn to do the same thing to invite Javanese cultural figures and their government, then inaugurate the name of Majapahit and Hayam Wuruk road" explained Aher.
