Financial Services Authority (OJK) through a copy of the Decree of the Board of Commissioners (KDK) Number KEP-104 / D.03 / 2018 dated June 5, 2018 regarding Revocation of Business License of PT Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Mega Karsa Mandiri revoked the business license of PT Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Mega Karsa Mandiri which is located atCinere Raya Street Blok M Number 83, Cinere, Depok City, West Java, as of June 5, 2018.
The decision was taken after previously in accordance with POJK Number 19 / POJK.03 / 2017 and Circular of Financial Services Authority (SEOJK) Number 56 /SEOJK.03 / 20 17 respectively concerning Stipulation of Status and Follow Up of BPR and BPR Sharia Supervision, PT BPR Mega Karsa Mandiri from March 01, 2018 has been designated a BPR with a Special Under-Status status because the Capital Adequacy Ratio (KPMM) is less than 0%.
The stipulation of the status under Special Supervision is caused by the weakness of management by BPR Mega Karsa Mandiri management which does not pay attention to prudential principles and the fulfillment of sound banking principles.
The status is stipulated in order that the Management and the Receiver Team as the party representing the Controlling Shareholder shall undertake the restructuring effort within the stipulated time.
However, until the time limit specified, restructuring efforts made by the Board and Team Curator to exit from the status of Special Supervision must have a minimum KPMM ratio of 80.0 not realized.
Therefore, considering the inability of the Board and the Receiver Team to improve and improve the deteriorating financial condition of the RB, and to appoint Article 38 of the above POJK, OJK revokes the RB license after receiving notification from the Deposit Insurance Agency (LPS).
With the revocation of business license of PT Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Mega Karsa Mandiri, LPS will then perform the guarantee function and conduct liquidation process pursuant to Law Number 24 Year 2004 concerning Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan as amended by Law Number 7 Year 2009.
OJK appealed to customers of PT Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Mega Karsa Mandiri to remain calm because the public funds in banking including BPR guaranteed by LPS in accordance with applicable regulations.
