    Tomorrow is Voting Day, 27 June Becomes National Holiday

    BANDUNG - West Java Provincial Government directly follow up the Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 15 Year 2018 related to voting day election 2018 as a national holiday.

    West Java Provincial Secretary Iwa Karniwa said that his party has made circular letter number 003.1 / 54 / Org dated June 25, 2018 on Election Day of Governor and Vice Governor, Regent and Deputy Regent, Mayor and Deputy Mayor 2018 as National Holidays.

    According to him, this letter has been distributed to the regents / mayors of 27 districts / municipalities, heads of ministry offices / vertical agencies and all heads of agencies to bureau chiefs in the West Java provincial government. "I have signed the letter and today is also circulated," he said at Gedung Sate, Bandung, Monday (25/06/2018).

    According to him, this circular letter in tune with the Presidential Decree where the determination of the holiday in order to provide the widest opportunity to the people of West Java to exercise their voting rights.

    "The government also took the policy to be closed so Civil Servant can exercise the right to vote," he said.

    It instructed the unit, Regional Organizational Device which serves to provide direct services to the community such as hospitals, public health centers, telecommunications, electricity, drinking water, firefighters and others to organize picketing employees.

    "The assignment of employees on the holiday is meant so that the service to the community keep running as it should," he said.

    The letter also requests that local government agencies make arrangements and monitoring of the implementation of the national holiday and take measures to improve discipline with the provisions of legislation.

    "We expect the political participation of the community to increase with the exclusion of voting day," he said.
