    Vice Governor Actively Campaign to Prevent AIDS

    BANDUNG-From the Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) says HIV (Human Immunodeficiency - Immune Virus) and AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) cases in Indonesia frequently occur in the productive age population even teenagers. And there are approximately 60 million young people aged 15-24 years who are vulnerable in that case.

    HIV itself is a virus that attacks the human immune system. So that the body's ability to fight the disease will be reduced. While AIDS is a collection of symptoms due to reduced immune system caused by HIV. A virus that can make a slow death is transmitted by bodily fluid, which is transmitted through blood, sperm, vaginal fluids, and breast milk (ASI).

    Then, worried the spread of HIV/AIDS particularly high risk. West Java Provincial Government through the Provincial Health Department of West Java tries to refresh people's knowledge about HIV and AIDS. This is done by campaigning the dangers of HIV/AIDS through the program ‘I'm Proud I Know’ (ABAT). The campaign was also conducted in conjunction with the commemoration of the world day of AIDS 2015, which held in Car Free Day (CFD) Dago area, on Sunday (6/12). A variety of information and knowledge about HIV/AIDS was immediately communicated clearly.

    Vice Governor of West Java Deddy Mizwar, vigorously present in the community of West Java campaign the ABAT movement. According to Deddy, through this movement, everyone needs to know about HIV/AIDS and various information about it. So aimed with this knowledge, people can avoid the spread of the virus.

    "HIV/AIDS is to be known by many people. What is HIV/AIDS, how people suffering from HIV/AIDS, so that we can avoid HIV/AIDS. HIV/AIDS sufferers is currently in West Java in particular is in the 3rd ranks in Indonesia. So there are about 6,165 people were detected with HIV/AIDS. If we know about it, we can avoid it,” he said.

    Vice governor was accompanied by his wife Giselawati Mizwar, and also the Head of Health Department of West Java Province Alma Lucyati.
