CIANJUR - Agricultural land, especially rice fields in West Java reduced by 75 hectares in the last 6 years. This was disclosed by Vice Governor of West Java Deddy Mizwar, during a meeting at the Paddy Seed Development Center (BPBP) West Java Agriculture Service in Cianjur, Wednesday (4/10).
"Imagine if every year continues to decrease, what will we eat later?" he said in the presence of farmers and employees of Hall. Therefore, according to Demiz, intensification becomes the only answer to save sustainable food availability in West Java.
"There is no other way but intensification with the touch of technology we have to do, for extensification is not possible because the land is less" he said.
Related to the touch of technology, Vice Governor Demiz requested that Hall continue to conduct research and development.
"It's a tough task for Hall to keep our food security in the future, but land can be reduced, but the results should be increased" he explained.
The arrival of Demiz at Hall, was greeted enthusiastically by Hall employees and representatives of farmers. They scramble for a photo with the 'General Naga Bonar'. (Even)
