BANDUNG - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) signed a cooperation agreement for the implementation of airport services at West Java International Airport (BIJB) with West Java Provincial Government and PT BIJB. The signing was witnessed by Minister Bappenas Bambang Brojonegoro, in Pakuan Building, Monday (22/1).
In his speech Bappenas Minister Bambang Brojonegoro appreciated West Java provincial government which has its own initiative to build an international airport, because most of the airport construction is initiated by the central government.
"Not only initiation, but also funding from West Java, some are now the center of help," he said.
According to Bambang, in every meeting with the head of the region, there is always a demand to build airports or toll roads with the request of central funds. But different in West Java, where for large airports, it is proposed and self-funded.
"In the middle of the road there are many changes, but initially still the initiation of local government, I really appreciate this," he said.
Moreover, according to him, the existing airport, namely Husein Sastranegara capacity is now increasingly unable to accommodate the community. So the existence of BIJB is very important to support Soekarno-Hatta airport.
West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan said BIJB will accelerate the mobility of people, especially in the East Jabar region even the border with Central Java.
"The target remains in June 2018 completed, and can be used for pilgrim flights," he concluded. jo
