    West Java Inflation in May 2018 is 0.28 Percent


    BANDUNG - West Java Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) mentions in May 2018 CPI Combined West Java covering 7 cities of Bogor City, Sukabumi City, Bandung City, Cirebon City, Bekasi City, Depok City and Tasikmalaya City increased index. CPI from 130.74 in April 2018 to 131.10 in May 2018, thus inflation of 0.28 percent.

    Head of West Java BPS Dody Herlando said the inflation rate for calendar year to date (January - May 2018) was 1.73 percent and inflation rate from year to year year on year (May 2018 to May 2017) was 3.51 percent.

    Of the seven expenditure groups all experienced inflation ie Foodstuffs Group by 0.86 percent, Food, Beverage, Cigarette & Tobacco Group by 0.20 percent, Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Fuel Groups by 0.02 percent.

    Then the Clothing Group was 0.40 percent, the Health Group by 0.33 percent, the Education, Recreation & Sports Group by 0.00 percent, and the Transportation, Communication & Finance Group by 0.09 percent.

    Of the seven CPI monitoring cities in West Java in May 2018, all experienced inflation of Bogor City of 0.04 percent, Sukabumi City 0.19 percent, Bandung 0.22 percent, Cirebon City 0.16 percent, Bekasi City 0.55 percent, Depok City by 0.13 percent, and Tasikmalaya City by 0.42 percent. (Jo)
