    PTDI Completes Delivery of NC 212i For the Philippines


    BANDUNG-President Director of PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PT DI), Elfien Goentoro handed over 2 (two) NC212i aircraft to Secretary Delfin N Lorenzana, Department of National Defense Philippine which was then handed back to end user Commanding General Philippine Air Force, Lt Gen Galileo Gerard R Kintanar JR AFP.

    Through the press release of Public Relations of PT DI mentioned, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia General (Retired) Ryamizard Ryacudu and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Indonesia (LBBP RI) to Republic of Philippines Accredited to Republic of Marshall Islands and Republic of Palau, Dr. Sinyo Harry Sarundajang was also present to witness the handover of 2 (two) units of NC212i Philippine Air Force aircraft.

    PTDI successfully conducted a ferry flight 2 (two) units of NC212i aircraft with registration code AX-2119 and AX-2120 for Philippine Air Force from Husein Sastranegara International Airport, Bandung, Indonesia to Clark Air Base, Mabalacat City, Pampanga, Philippines.

    Head of Mission Ferry Flight, Captain Esther Gayatri Saleh, PTDI Pilot Chief Test as Pilot In Command (PIC) and Captain Ervan Gustanto as First Officer (FO) and Ir. Nurcholis as Flight Test Engineer (FTE) successfully ferry flight aircraft NC212i with registration code AX-2119.

    While Captain Adi Budi Atmoko as Pilot In Command (PIC) and Captain Zulda Hendra as First Officer (FO) and Ir. Initially F Butar Butar as Flight Test Engineer (FTE) successfully conducted ferry flight aircraft NC212i with registration code AX-2120.

    Routes through which two aircraft NC212i namely Husein Sastranegara Bandung, Syamsudinnoor Banjarmasin, Juwata Tarakan, Puerto Princessa Philippines, Clark Air Base Mabalacat City, Pampanga Philippines. On June 14, 2018, 2 units of NC212i aircraft arrived at DAP, 420th Supply Wing, PAF, Clark Air Force Base (Air Force City), Pampanga, Philippines.

    Date June 19, 2018, conducted Flight Acceptance Test with subject test that has been agreed with one of them is one engine in operative and water start performance. Flight Acceptance Test led by PTDI Pilot Chief Test, Captain Esther Gayatri Saleh, NC212i aircraft registration code AX-2119 fly for 1 hour 55 minutes, while NC212i aircraft registration code AX-2120 fly for 1 hour 15 minutes.

    Flight Acceptance Test accepted by Philippine Air Force Pilot, Major Ronald and Major Amora. The delivery of two units of NC212i aircraft is a Project of Acquisition of Fixed Winged Light Aircraft under the Philippine Armed Forces Modernization Program.

    The advantages of NC212i aircraft will provide great advantages to improve the preparedness of the Philippine Air Force in support of its various missions, such as: Territorial Defense, Security and Stability; Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief; and International Defense and Security Engagement.

    "By submitting these two aircraft, we are expected to meet the needs of the Philippine Air Force and we also sincerely hope that both aircraft have an important role in supporting all Philippine Air Force operations requirements. Furthermore, we hope to strengthen the relationship between the two countries through a solid G2G scheme, "explained Elfien Goentoro, President Director of PTDI.

    Both NC212i aircraft submitted to the Philippine Air Force have been fully done by PTDI and to date the total number of NC212 series aircraft manufactured by PTDI is 114 units. Since October 2011, PTDI is the only aircraft industry in the world that produces NC212i aircraft. Jo
