MAJALENGKA - In the next five years, West Java will become a tourism province, where new tourist destinations will be built in each city and district along with West Java cultural centers.

"West Java Province is proud to declare the next five years of our economic motorbike is tourism. This year, we spend almost half a trillion rupiah on tourism development in 40 points in West Java. Only 2019, it will be five years," said West Java Governor Mochamad Ridwan Kamil, at the event "Ngapung Bareng Ti Kertajati," at West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati, Majalengka, Wednesday (09/01/19)

During this time, Emil calls the Governor of West Java, said that West Java has beautiful natural potential. Only the access is lacking, it has not been heavily promoted, so it is not yet widely known.

Then the potential of tourism in the Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka and Kuningan (Ciayumajakuning) regions, must continue to be optimized. The Governor invited all relevant parties to aggressively promote this Ciayumajakuning area.

Emil also entrusted, so that the regional heads in the region within the next two weeks, held a meeting with the Heads of Tourism Office to design a unique festival and be able to "attract" tourist visits.

The West Java International Airport, as a component of access, is ready to become one of the new economic drivers in West Java, especially the Ciayumajakuning region.

As for besides tourism, the West Java region is also a center of Umrah in Indonesia which has tremendous potential. Governor Emil said, the number of umroh passengers from West Java could reach nearly 600 thousand passengers per year.

"If the BIJB has a promotional budget, I aim to spend it on marketing to focus on two matters, namely umrah and tourism," Emil ordered.

Emil also admitted that his party had agreed on the implementation of the 2019 Hajj departing from BIJB Kertajati.

"The choice is two, there is the Provincial Government's assets given to Cirebon City, but the assets are unemployed. If it can be renovated and converted into a Hajj hostel, please. If not, lots of vacant land in five months, we make simple buildings," Emil said.

In 2019 itself, Kertajati Airport also projects to begin serving as many as 39 thousand pilgrims from West Java who are still departing from Soekarno Hatta Airport.

"The futuristic future of West Java will be in the Patimban, BIJB and Ciayumajakuning triangles. This area will be the most sophisticated region of its growth," Emil said.

"I will not guard until the economic opportunity does not fall apart," he continued

As a new airport density solution in West Java, up to now BIJB Kertajati has operated with the newly realized terminal 1A, only able to serve 2.7 million passengers of a maximum capacity of 5.6 million passengers per year.

However, seeing the market potential with the reach of the area around Ciayumajakuning, the number of services can reach 17 million people per year, more with the support of Cisumdawu toll road connectivity.

The existing routes now have 14 flight routes both domestically and internationally with services from 4 airlines. In the future, new favorite routes will be opened on January 11, 2019 with Jakarta (Halim Perdana Kusuma), Yogyakarta, Balikpapan and Bali routes. So that in the future the West Java International Airport will open the connectivity of cities throughout Indonesia and the world.

Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi said, BIJB Kertajati, Ciayumajakuning and Patimban, were potential. With these massive facilities, West Java business opportunities can move freely.

"Now we can invite investors. Patimban is the same size as Tanjung Priok. Patimban and kertajati will be related, so Ciayumajakuning will become a" new city development "that has an industrial character, and tourusm at the same time," he said.

The Minister of Transportation said he was committed to systematically advance the region. Especially tourism and business, Kertajati became the second most complete airport after Soekarno-Hatta. The Minister of Transportation also supports the departure of Umrah and Hajj from Kertajati.

"I appreciate the airlines that have initiated the flight at Kertajati," Budi said.

To Milenials, the Minister of Transportation invited to conduct a campaign on Patimban, Kertajati, and proud tourist destinations in the Ciayumajakuning region.

"Every city has its own strength, there are fashion, culinary. Please campaign," Budi said.
