LOMBOK-PT Bio Farma continues to encourage synergies in the pharmaceutical industry in Indonesia to be independence. This is expressed by Bio Farma Company Secretary Rahman Rustan, in a media gathering in Mataram NTB.
"More than 200 pharmaceutical industry in Indonesia is both state-owned and private still dependence on imported raw materials. In fact, the raw material can be produced in the country" he said.
According to Rahman some basic ingredients that are imported pharmaceuticals that are pure sugar and pure salt to be imported from India and China.
"In Indonesia, we have two state-owned enterprises that produce the salt and sugar. If it can be synergised, we no longer need to import expensive value,” he explained.
Therefore, Bio Farma to support the Government's plan that would combine Pharmaceutical BUMN to be more effective and efficient.
