PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government inaugurated the modern transportation system Swatantra S01 Jababeka in collaboration with PT Commuter Anak Bangsa and Jababeka. The inauguration took place at Hollywood Junction (19/3/2025).

This Swatantra system aims to improve accessibility for residents and provide safer, more comfortable and environmentally friendly transportation services.

Bekasi Deputy Regent, Asep Surya Atmaja, stated that this launch is a strategic step in improving the quality of life of the community, reducing congestion, and supporting regional economic growth.

"We want to ensure that people have access to safe, comfortable, and affordable transportation. With the presence of Swatantra S01, it is hoped that people's mobility will increase, which will ultimately encourage productivity and community welfare," said Asep.

Swatantra S01 Jababeka Transportation consists of 16 eco-friendly cars with a capacity of 10 passengers per unit. Each vehicle is equipped with dual air conditioning (AC) and comfortable seating to enhance the passenger's travel experience.

"Alhamdulillah, I have tried it directly, and it feels very comfortable and safe. The dual AC also adds comfort for people who use this transportation," he added.

Head of the Bekasi Regency Transportation Agency, R. Yana Suyatna, explained that the naming of Swatantra S01 was taken from the Swatantra Wibawamukti philosophy, which reflects the identity of the Bekasi Regency Government. Currently, the route served connects Jababeka with Cikarang Station, and is integrated with the Trans Wibawamukti service.

"In accordance with the Regent's study and decision, this system is part of our big plan to provide transportation that can reach housing complexes in Bekasi Regency," explained Yana.

For ease of transaction, the fare of Rp5,000 can be paid digitally via E-Money. Currently, there are 15 public transportation units ready to serve passengers in the Jababeka area.

The presence of Swatantra S01 Jababeka is one of the Bekasi District Government's commitments in presenting a more modern, efficient, and environmentally friendly public transportation system.

This step is expected to not only increase public mobility, but also reduce congestion, support local economic growth, and create a better environment for residents.

In the future, the Bekasi Regency Government will continue to innovate in the development of technology-based transportation and service integration to ensure wider accessibility for the entire community.
