PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BEKASI - The 38th Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) at the West Java Province level has finished, the host - Bekasi Regency successfully became the host and won the overall championship.

Likewise, Garut achieved 6th place, up two places from previously at the 37th MTQ event; in Sumedang Regency it was in 8th place.

Acting Regent of Garut, Barnas Adjidin, after attending the closing of the 38th MTQ at Bekasi Regency Government Plaza, Central Cikarang, Saturday evening (4/5/2024), expressed his gratitude for this achievement, and expressed his commitment to continue to improve achievements in the future come.

"Yes, thank God, we are grateful to Allah SWT that Garut Regency has participated in the MTQ event in Bekasi Regency. Where the results are the best results, the work of the children and also the officials," he said in his official statement last night.

Behind this achievement, Barnas emphasized the importance of enthusiasm and more intensive preparation to face the next MTQ, which will be held in East Kalimantan.

This includes careful planning and more intensive coaching for the participants, with the hope of producing even better achievements than the previous year.

"Yes, first we have to be more enthusiastic, don't be satisfied with what we have achieved. And we have to continue to take steps on how we face MTQ this year, namely in East Kalimantan," he said.

Furthermore, Barnas highlighted that the progress of a region is not only determined by achievements in the religious field alone, but also by the attitudes and behavior of its people.

In this context, MTQ is considered an important effort in developing society's morals and spirituality, because the Qur'an is considered a life guide that must be internalized and practiced by all levels of society.

Thus, it is hoped that through active participation in MTQ, the people of Garut can become superior humans, both in terms of achievement and morals.
