PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - One barber shop unit located on Jalan Cimanuk, Garut Regency, was destroyed by fire, Friday (3/5/2024).

Based on information from the Head of Garut City Subdistrict, Rena Sudrajat, the barber shop fire was allegedly caused by an electrical short circuit in the barber shop building owned by Dewi Asrianti (45), which was contracted to Agung (27), which also spread to other kiosks. Meanwhile, the fire completely destroyed 1 barbershop, 1 kiosk was moderately damaged, and 1 kiosk was slightly damaged.

A total of 3 fire trucks from the Garut Regency Fire and Rescue Service (Disdamkar) were deployed, assisted by local residents using whatever equipment they could. Buildings made of wood made it easier for the fire to completely consume the kiosk building.

As a result of this fire, losses were estimated at 50 million rupiah. However, this fire did not result in any casualties.
