PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - The Garut Regency Regional Financial Access Acceleration Acceleration Team (TPAKD) held a Technical Meeting for the Regional Financial Inclusion Ecosystem Work Program (EKIDEW) Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPID), in the Sindangkasih Tourism Village, Garut Regency, Friday (3/5/2024) .

The event took place in the open air by presenting resource persons from the Tasikmalaya Representative Financial Services Authority (OJK) Team as well as Mercy Corps, and banks.

Garut Regency TPAKD Secretary Bambang Heri Susanto said, this activity was an initiation by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and Garut Regency TPAKD, where one of the programs is financial inclusion in tourist villages where there are several other superior programs such as Student Savings (Simple ), agricultural and livestock insurance.

"This also includes efforts to provide financial access for MSME business actors, women and also people with disabilities," he said.

Through this program, continued Bambang, it is hoped that tourist villages and the surrounding community can understand financial products. One example of this program is insurance for visitors to the tourist village in Sindangkasih Tourism Village, which has several types of tourism that are very risky, one of which is river tubing, and this insurance is carried out to ensure the safety of visitors.

"Later, it is hoped that this tourist village can access finance more easily, so for example, later we will facilitate and bring together several insurance business services to insure tourist visitors who visit the Sindangkasih Tourism Village," he said.

Apart from that, with this program it is hoped that people around the Sindangkasih Tourism Village can easily access financial products distributed by banks in Garut Regency.

Bambang added that Mercy Corps itself is also involved in community empowerment, in the form of providing better tourism management knowledge to tourist villages.

The 2024 Garut Regency TPAKD program includes simple (or) Student Savings, cattle insurance, rice crop insurance, MSME empowerment, tourism village development, One Disability One Account, and women's empowerment.
