West Java Establishes Cooperation with Infrastructure Asia

BANDUNG CITY -- The West Java Provincial Government is collaborating with Infrastructure Asia in the fields of transportation, waste management, energy and water efficiency and digital connectivity.

This collaboration is stated in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil and Infrastructure Asia Executive Director Lavan Thiru at Gedung Pakuan, Bandung City, on Wednesday evening (22/2/2023).

At the event, Ridwan Kamil conveyed various innovations and programs from the West Java Provincial Government which have succeeded in bringing benefits to the people of West Java.

"I hope to be able to do a lot of cooperation besides the MoU tonight because from the West Java region there are many other potentials that can be collaborated," said Ridwan Kamil.

The signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be valid for 3 years. This cooperation has obtained agreement and support from both the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of West Java Province and the Central Government.

"The West Java Provincial Government and Infrastructure Asia are working together to accelerate the development of infrastructure projects in West Java under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme, particularly in the transportation, waste management, energy efficiency and water sectors," he explained.

In this collaboration, Infrastructure Asia has expressed its interest in working with the West Java Provincial Government to provide assistance in the preparation of strategic infrastructure projects through Capability Building activities, to collaborate in promoting strategic infrastructure projects through market activities and investor search, as well as technical assistance and consultation on project structure and planning documents.
