PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Regional Government of West Java Province is strengthening readiness for the departure of Hajj pilgrims from West Java both from the dormitory and West Java International Airport (BIJB) in Kertajati, Majalengka Regency.

Acting West Java Governor Bey Machmudin will in the near future directly inspect the readiness of Hajj dormitory facilities in Indramayu Regency for Hajj pilgrims at Kertajati Airport Embarkation.

"On April 30, I will check the Hajj dormitory in Indramayu, the departure will be in Kertajati," said Bey after the Leadership Meeting at Gedung Sate, Bandung City, Friday (26/4/2024).

Bey wants to ensure that pilgrims at the Indramayu Hajj dormitory are served according to predetermined standards, both in terms of comfort, cleanliness and food and drink.

"I want the best standard of service to be provided. They are about to leave so they have to be comfortable in terms of food, cleanliness, etc.," he said.

The total number of pilgrims for the Kertajati Embarkation was 13,050 people. They will start entering the Indramayu Hajj dormitory on May 10 2024. Meanwhile, the first group will start leaving on May 12.

"A total of 30 fleets, so one fleet departs a day and the first fleet departs on May 12 2024," said Bey.

Meanwhile, the number of West Java Hajj pilgrims for Soekarno Hatta Embarkation numbered 27,161 people.

"The total number of Hajj pilgrims from West Java who departed in Kertajati was 13,050 and those from Soetta (Soekarno Hatta) were 27,161 people," concluded Bey.
