PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - PT PLN continues to work on the electric vehicle ecosystem in the country. After thousands of Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) have been built for private electric cars, now PLN is collaborating with the Bogor City Regional Government to operate a special SPKLU for Electric-Based Urban Public Transport in Bogor City (Alibo)

The construction of the SPKLU was carried out in an effort to support the Bogor City Regional Government program which is currently conducting trials on 5 Alibo units from April 4 2024 to July 3 2024.

Bogor Mayor Bima Arya said that the presence of the Alibo electric public transportation was an era of transformation of public transportation in Bogor City.

In order to ensure smooth running, the Bogor City Regional Government collaborated with PLN in providing a special SPKLU as a refill point for the first commercial electric public transportation operating in Indonesia.

"One of the phenomenal things about public transportation in the city of Bogor is the pollution, yes, public transportation has become obsolete, public transportation has become difficult to allow to operate, it is very difficult to stop pollution and so on," said the Mayor, Thursday (18/4/2024).

"This is a reform of the new era of Bogor City and in the future there will only be Biskita Trend and electric public transportation, that is clear. Bismillah, may Allah make it easy," he added.

PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said that PLN added SPKLU in Bogor specifically to serve the charging needs of electricity-based public transportation in the area.

"PLN's focus is not only on private electric vehicles, but also supporting electricity-based public transportation by continuing to provide adequate infrastructure, one of which is the presence of SPKLU for electric public transportation in the Bogor City area," said Darmawan.

Darmawan believes that the presence of electric-based public transportation will help reduce carbon emissions from motorized vehicles in line with the Government's program to realize the "Net Zero Emissions" target in 2060 while also supporting national energy security.

"If the trial of electric-based urban public transportation in Bogor City is successful, of course this will be an example of the application of other electric public transportation in other areas and PLN is ready to support it," said Darmawan.

General Manager of PLN's West Java Main Distribution Unit, Susiana Mutia, stated that PLN was very enthusiastic about welcoming the first trial of electricity-based public transportation in the city of Bogor.

"PLN invites all parties to collaborate to accelerate the development of the KBLBB ecosystem in Indonesia, one of which is ALIBO. "This is a momentum and a bridge for us to reduce emissions," explained Susiana.

Susiana explained that this additional SPKLU was provided specifically to support the presence of electric public transportation in Bogor City.

"We specifically provide SPKLU for ALIBO which will be used for charging," said Susiana.

Susiana hopes that the trial of electric public transportation, which has 30 stop routes starting from Cidangiang and ending in Cidangiang, can be the first step in synergy in implementing environmentally friendly "green energy",

"With the existence of Alibo, this can be the first step in synergy in implementing environmentally friendly green energy, so that our goal of moving towards Net Zero Emissions by 2060 or sooner can be realized," he concluded. (rep no)
