PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin inaugurated Acting Mayor of Bogor, Acting Regent of Ciamis, and Acting Regent of Sumedang in the West Hall of Gedung Sate, Bandung City, Saturday (20/4/2024).

Head of the West Java Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) Hery Antasari becomes Acting Mayor of Bogor, Expert Staff to the Governor for Legal and Political Government of the West Java Provincial Government Engkus Sutisna becomes Acting Regent of Ciamis, and Acting Head of the Information Center (Kapuspen) Ministry of Home Affairs Yuda Ramli becomes Acting Regent of Sumedang.

Bey reminded the importance of integrity and transparency in carrying out his duties as regional head. Leadership must be based on high moral principles.

"We must be committed to serving society with dedication and selflessness and maintaining public trust," said Bey.

Apart from that, in running the government, he reminded that efficiency and effectiveness are the main guidelines in leading.

"There is no room for waste and slow administration in realizing the regional development vision. Every decision taken is ultimately for the welfare of the community," he said.

In his speech, Bey asked the newly appointed officials to listen to complaints and input from the public 24 hours a day.

"I ask the newly appointed officials to frequently go to the field to listen to complaints and input from the community and open the door to communication 24 hours a day and seven days a week to communicate with the community," said Bey.

He reminded us to prioritize the interests of the community in every decision we make.

"We are public servants. Our job is to ensure that the voices and needs of the community are always heard and prioritized," he added.

He hopes that the mandate given to the appointed officials will bring better progress and prosperity to society.

"The people's great hopes are of course placed on you as regional leader," concluded Bey.
