PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BEKASI - The 38th Musabaqoh Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) will take place in Bekasi Regency from April 28 to May 4 2024.

Hundreds of caravans and their supporters have arrived since Saturday and will be in Bekasi until a week from now.

"Hundreds or even thousands who attended certainly needed lodging and lodging, I checked earlier, everything was full," said Acting Bekasi Regent Dani Ramdan on the sidelines of the opening of the exhibition and bazaar, one of the activities that enlivened the 38th West Java MTQ, Sunday (28/4/ 2024).

Apart from hotels, the arrival of thousands of MTQ participants can also increase the turnover of restaurants, travel and vehicle rentals.

He believes that holding MTQ can boost the economy of the people of Bekasi Regency and its surroundings. He also invited MSMEs to enliven the MTQ event by participating in exhibitions and bazaars.

"MSME products from the Bekasi community enliven the exhibition and bazaar. "Apart from that, at the bazaar we also prepared stands from various departments, such as to facilitate business licensing and even halal certificates," he explained.

To the caravans, the Bekasi Regency Government will also invite them to visit industries in the Bekasi Regency industrial area.

"We are trying to open industrial tourism. We will take participants on a tour to see industrial production here. Starting from car factories, electronics to food," he said.
