PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - Garut Regency is getting ready to enliven the national football stage by fully supporting the participation of the All Indonesian Football Association of Garut (Persigar) in the National League 3 which will take place at the end of April.

Acting The Regent of Garut, Barnas Adjidin, firmly stated the support of the Garut Regency Government for Persigar.

This was conveyed after a meeting held with Persigar management at the Garut Regent's Office, Jalan Pembangunan, Tarogong Kidul District, Garut Regency, on Friday (19/4/2024).

"On behalf of the Garut Regency Government, I certainly appreciate the steps that have been prepared by Persigar, and of course this has logistical consequences for their implementation later," said Barnas when interviewed after the event.

Barnas the importance of thorough preparation to ensure the success of the event. He asked Persigar and the Garut Regency Government to work together in preparing everything according to the plans that had been made.

"And of course I fully support the implementation of this event," he added.

Apart from being an effort to raise the good name of Garut Regency in the field of sports, especially football, Barnas also sees this potential as the first step in developing reliable football athletes in the future.

Moreover, football is a sport that is popular with many people.

"So this is an initial step, which will later become something for future development to make Garut have reliable football athletes," he said.

Not only that, Barnas also hopes that the implementation of the National League 3 in Garut Regency can run smoothly, and this is of course not only the task of Persigar as the implementer and the Garut Regional Government alone, but requires the synergy of all parties including the community to support the implementation of this event.

The General Chairperson of Persigar, Rudy Gunawan, explained that Persigar belongs to the Garut Regional Government and has the main sponsor from the Garut Regency Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD). Garut Regency was also appointed by the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) as the host of the round of 80 of the National League 3.

According to Rudy, appointing Garut Regency as host was an honor in itself, considering that the participating teams came from various regions in Indonesia, such as Aceh, Papua, Pasuruan, and Bekasi.

Preparations as host have reached 80 percent, Rudy hopes to get full support from all parties, including the Regional Government, Regional Work Units (SKPD), and the community, to make the event a success.

Rudy also emphasized that preparations were continuing to be made to resolve existing deficiencies within the next week.
