PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - A total of 116 Civil Servants (PNS) in administrator, supervisory and functional environmental positions in the Bandung City Regional Government were officially inaugurated by the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono at Bandung City Hall (5/2/2024).

On this occasion, Bambang said that most of those appointed were in the regional element.

"Almost the majority of those appointed this morning are in the regional element. There are many tasks that must be done. Therefore, I advise that there is no longer any need for adaptation in the implementation of the main duties and functions, you can go straight to work," said Bambang.

Moreover, in the near future, there will be a democratic party. So, Bambang hopes that by filling vacant positions in the regions, we can further prepare for the upcoming major elections.

"We are only a few days away from holding a democratic party. We must ensure that the election on February 14 will be in conducive, peaceful, safe conditions, and of course it will be an achievement for us to realize," he hoped.

Even though there was a vacancy in the position, Bambang admitted that it had not really disturbed the service process that had been running so far

"We are maximizing existing resources. Services must not be hampered. There may be minor deficiencies," he said.

He said, today all the vacant positions in the region have been filled. Although it requires quite a long process because it must obtain technical considerations from BKN and approval for the inauguration from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Apart from that, there are a number of mechanisms used. Especially when approaching a five-year term, civil servants need to have an evaluation carried out by a team of evaluators. In accordance with statutory regulations, the results of this evaluation will determine rotation or transfer.

"We have a system for assessing many parameters of performance, behavior and others. So all transfers or rotations are carried out professionally," he said.

Bambang also added that there were three functional officials who were appointed today.

With functional positions being appointed, Bambang advised that civil servants can be more professional in carrying out their duties according to their functional positions.

"Carry out our duties with full responsibility and integrity. Assure the public that we are able to work according to existing expectations and regulations," he added.

Because according to him, rotation, transfer and promotion are normal things in carrying out duties.

As additional information, at this inauguration three people were appointed as sub-district heads, namely Yati Sri Sumiati as Mandalajati sub-district head, Hakim Satya Budhi as Cinambo sub-district head, and Mochamad Arief Budiman as Kiaracondong sub-district head.
