PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - A total of 274 high school/vocational school students have participated in the Pancawaluya Character Education program from the West Java Provincial Government in collaboration with the III Siliwangi Military Command.

West Java Special Pancawaluya Character Education is aimed at students who need special handling.
building a strong moral foundation through habituation, discipline, responsibility, leadership, fitness, and national defense.

"There are 274 people currently taking part in character education in collaboration between the West Java Provincial Government and the Indonesian Army," said West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman in Bandung City, Wednesday (8/5/2025).

According to Herman, all character education materials are provided by a team of instructors from the TNI, with teaching techniques that have been adapted to teenagers.

"This character education will then be completed through learning by presenting visiting teachers," he said.

These students will follow character education for 2 x 14 days. Students study Monday - Thursday at 12.30 - 15.30, and can be added on other days.

They will live in a dormitory with an educational proportion of 40 percent lectures - motivation - discussion - case studies, 60 percent physical activity or practice.

However, the 40 – 60 pattern can change according to needs and situations.

Herman added that students will receive training with the standard content of the TNI AD national defense curriculum and the national education curriculum. The process standards start from orientation, basic level and advanced level.

"The standard trainers are professional trainers from the National Defense Education Office of the Military Command and the West Java Education Office," said Herman.

After attending education for 28 days, it is expected that students will have the Pancawaluya competency standards, namely cageur, begeur, bener, pinter, singer.

Finally, when the time comes for them to return to their parents' house and socialize with their friends, the students will still be guided by the Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas for three months and this can be extended as needed.
