PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Acting Regent of Bekasi Asep Surya Atmaja opened the 2026 Bupati Cup Futsal Tournament, which was attended by 28 teams, (7/8/2026).

The opening took place at the Delta Sport Center Deltamas, Central Cikarang, marked by Asep Surya Atmaja's first kick on goal.

The tournament was part of the commemoration of the 76th Anniversary of Bekasi Regency and the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.

Asep Surya Atmaja said the tournament was a means of maintaining physical health while also building work enthusiasm among officials within the Bekasi Regency Government.

"Alhamdulillah, today I have opened the 2026 Bekasi Regent's Cup Futsal Tournament. In a healthy body there is a strong soul, in hard work there is great spirit," said Asep.

He appreciated the Media Center committee for consistently organizing the annual tournament as a space for togetherness between regional officials.

"As Acting Regent of Bekasi, I would like to thank the committee and wish the 28 participants from each department a good day competing for the 2026 Regent's Cup," he explained.

In the 2025 edition, the Bekasi Regency Public Housing, Settlement Areas, and Land Agency (Disperkimtan) was the defending champion.

Asep emphasized that the tournament was not only about winning the championship title, but also about strengthening inter-agency relations through joint sporting activities.

"This event is a means of fostering unity between relevant agencies. So, this is not just about finding a champion, but rather fostering camaraderie among regional agencies gathered in the same Bupati Cup Futsal Arena," he said.

Deputy Chair of the Committee, Rizky Pangestu, said the 28 participating teams came from regional apparatus organizations, the Bekasi Regency District Attorney's Office, and the Cikarang District Court.

"Thank you for the participation and enthusiasm of all participants in supporting this event. The 2026 Bupati Cup Futsal Tournament is an annual event, and it is hoped that it will foster a spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and togetherness in building an increasingly advanced Bekasi Regency," said Rizky.

The tournament offers a total prize of Rp22 million as well as individual awards for the Best Player and Top Goal Scorer.

The committee also prepared various door prizes such as washing machines, dispensers, bicycles, stoves, and other electronic equipment for participants.
