PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - A total of 38 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) participated in the Bandung City Industrial Center Festival and All About Tofu & Snacks Festival at Cihampelas Walk (Ciwalk), July 3–12, 2026.

Various leading industrial centers participated, including the Binongjati Knitting Center, Cibaduyut Shoe Center, Suci T-shirt and Screen Printing Center, Sukamulya Doll Center, Warung Muncang Doll Center, Kebonlega Bag Center, Cicaheum Calligraphy Center, Siliwangi Painting Center, Sadang Serang Ecoprint Center, and Binong Traditional Musical Instrument Center.

Meanwhile, at the All About Tofu & Bandung City Snacks Festival, visitors can enjoy a variety of innovative tofu dishes and a variety of superior snacks that are part of Bandung City's culinary richness.

These two festivals are an effort by the Bandung City Government to promote and strengthen the competitiveness of superior regional products.

The Head of the Bandung City Trade and Industry Agency (Disdagin), Ronny Ahmad Nurudin, explained that the All About Tofu Festival has become an annual event that continues to be strengthened as a promotional identity for Bandung City's culinary scene.

In fact, the name of the festival has now been registered as part of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) protection to maintain the sustainability of the branding that has been built.

Through this festival, the Bandung City Government hopes to increase the public's awareness of superior regional products, expand market access for businesses, and encourage increased economic transactions that directly impact community welfare.

Ronny acknowledged that the industrial sector remains one of the main pillars of Bandung City's economy.

Based on 2025 data, the industrial sector contributed 17.28 percent to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Bandung City and became the second largest economic sector after the trade sector.

"Small and medium-sized industries are the backbone of regional economic growth. Therefore, we continue to strengthen them through mentoring, training, and marketing support, both online and offline," said Ronny.

According to him, based on updated data from 2025, Bandung City now has 37 industrial centers that accommodate 1,763 MSMEs and absorb 7,930 workers.

These various centers operate in the fashion, crafts, and culinary sectors, which have long been the identity of Bandung City's creative economy.

Meanwhile, the festival was officially opened by the Regional Secretary of Bandung City, Iskandar Zulkarnain, who represented the Mayor of Bandung. In his remarks, Zulkarnain praised the festival's ability to provide a promotional platform and strengthen the local economic ecosystem.

"Bandung City's various superior products, including food, culinary delights, fashion, shoes, crafts, and other creative products, must continue to be strengthened and promoted. This is a good opportunity to showcase the region's potential and encourage economic growth," he said.

He also said that the city of Bandung is preparing to host a number of national-scale events in the coming year.

Therefore, the quality and competitiveness of superior regional products need to be continuously improved so that they can appear as the best representation of the City of Bandung.
