PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - A total of 416 candidates for the District Election Committee (PPK) for the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) who passed the administrative selection took part in the written selection stage using the Computer Assist Test (CAT) method at the UIN SGD Bandung Campus, Tuesday (7/5/ 2024).

Acting Mayor of Bandung Bambang Tirtoyuliono was present directly at the opening of the PPK CAT Test.

On that occasion, Bambang hopes that the participants who pass the selection and become PPK for the regional elections will have authority, responsibility and commitment. This is to ensure that the regional elections on November 27 2024 can run safely and conducively.

"Hopefully, from this selection the best will be selected in terms of competency. Later there will be a third stage, namely interviews," he said.

Bambang also hopes that during the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections he can elect regional heads who can accelerate development and make the people of Bandung City prosperous.

He said, currently the City of Bandung has various homework that must be completed immediately. Starting from reducing poverty rates, preventing stunting, improving the tourism and service sectors, as well as around 106 other indicators.

"Whoever the candidate for mayor/deputy mayor is, the city of Bandung is a very holistic city. The potential is enormous and must be optimized. "Whoever, hopefully can accelerate potentials that have value for the benefit of the citizens of Bandung City," he said.

Chairman of the Bandung City KPU, Wenti Prihadianti, said that of the 464 participants who took part in the selection, 150 people would be selected. Later it will become an Ad Hoc PPK body in 30 sub-districts in Bandung City.

“A total of 464 people registered, but 416 passed the administration. "Later approximately 150 people will be selected, 5 people per sub-district," he said.

In this test, participants worked on 75 questions in 90 minutes. If they pass, prospective PPK members will take part in an interview selection.
