PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Sixty-four Bandung City Scouts will participate in the 2026 National Jamboree (Jamnas) XII, held in Cibubur. They were officially seen off by Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan during a morning roll call at the Bandung City Hall Plaza on Monday (August 10, 2026).

The contingent consists of the best sons and daughters of the Bandung City Scouts who will represent the region and participate in various activities in the 12th National Scout Jamboree with participants from various regions in Indonesia.

In his remarks, Farhan advised all participants to utilize the momentum of the National Jamboree to build independence, leadership, discipline, skills, and brotherhood.

He believes that Jamnas is not just a camping event or scouting activity, but also a space for the younger generation to expand friendships and strengthen national unity.

Farhan asked the participants to use the meeting with Scout members from various regions as an opportunity to build friendship networks between cities and regions.

"Use this opportunity to meet with brothers and friends from various regions as a starting point for building national unity," he said.

He also conveyed his congratulations to the Head of the Bandung City Scout Branch, Heri Hermanto, along with all the instructors and contingents.

Farhan hopes that the entire contingent can maintain the good name of Bandung City while participating in the series of National Games XII in Cibubur.

"Good luck, bring a good name and make the city of Bandung proud," he said.

According to Farhan, Scouting activities are in line with the Bandung City Government's efforts to develop superior, independent, disciplined human resources who care about others.

This spirit is also part of the development vision of the City of Bandung, namely Bandung Utama, which includes the values of Excellence, Openness, Trustworthiness, Progress, and Religiousness.

The send-off of the 12th Jamnas contingent was also combined with the opening of the 2026 Bandung Scout Festival.

Farhan hopes that the series of scouting activities in Bandung City can provide a positive space for the younger generation to develop their character while strengthening the spirit of togetherness.

"This opportunity is to develop independence, leadership, discipline, skills, and brotherhood," he said.
