PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The term of office of members of the Bandung City DPRD for the 2019-2024 period has officially ended. The Bandung City DPRD has achieved various challenges and achievements in the past five years, despite losing four members and being left behind by Mayor H. Oded M. Danial.

Chairman of the Bandung City DPRD for the 2019-2024 period, Tedy Rusmawan, said that during this period, the DPRD has developed various innovations to improve public services and information transparency.

"One of the steps taken is building an official website and activating social media as a platform for interaction with the community. "Apart from that, the DPRD is also developing a Legal Information Documentation Network (JDIH) and collaborating with Disdukcapil through the 'Geulis' outlet which provides special services in the basement of the DPRD, which is the first in Indonesia," he said at the Plenary Meeting of Taking the Oath/Pledge of City DPRD members. Bandung for the 2024-2029 period, on Jalan Sukabumi No.30 Bandung City (5/8/2024).

The DPRD is also committed to various training, from barista training to fire management training. Intense collaboration with Forkopimda, including the TNI/Polri, was carried out to deal with crime in the city of Bandung, which succeeded in reducing the crime rate.

In the health sector, the DPRD supports the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) program, ensuring there are no obstacles in health services and encouraging the Bandung City Government to strengthen health services at the Bandung Kiwari Regional Hospital.

"In the education sector, the DPRD succeeded in creating nine new junior high schools and fought for teacher honorariums to be paid on time, including for religious teachers. "The 100 million program per RW, Subdistrict, PKK is also being rolled out, as well as the construction of 24 retention ponds in Bandung City to prevent flooding," he added.

Tedy also added that infrastructure development is also the focus of the DPRD, such as on Jalan Laswi, Supratman, Kopo, Ciroyom, to Nurtanio.

"Public service innovation continues to be encouraged, including the establishment of the Bandung City Public Service Mall. "In the employment sector, the DPRD holds job fairs and grant programs to support job seekers and improve community welfare," he said.

Tedy also revealed that the DPRD had also formulated 45 legal products, 131 decisions, 26 DPRD leadership regulations, and 6 regional regulations that were substantive and needed by the community.

During this term of office, the DPRD handled unresolved problems and seriously supervised the Bandung City community welfare program.

Ending his term of office, the Bandung City DPRD for the 2019-2024 period apologized for all shortcomings and mistakes, and expressed his thanks to all parties who had helped.

Special appreciation is given to Acting. Governor, Acting Mayor, Forkopimda, DPRD Secretariat, elders, ulama, religious leaders and residents of Bandung City.

With the official end of this term of office, the appointment of members of the Bandung City DPRD for the 2024-2029 period has been formalized, starting from the time the oath was taken.
