PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - While Bandung Zoo has not yet reopened, the public still has a safe and comfortable alternative for nature tourism during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday. One of the prime destinations being prepared is the Ir. H. Djuanda Grand Forest Park (Tahura).

The Tahura area in Dago Atas is guaranteed to be ready to welcome a surge in tourists during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H holiday. With its cool and beautiful forest atmosphere, Tahura is a favorite choice for residents who want to vacation with their families without having to leave the city.

The Tahura management has made various preparations, including a standby roll call involving the police, military command (Koramil), and medical team. These measures are being taken to ensure the safety, comfort, and security of visitors during the long holiday period.

Besides offering serene natural panoramas, Tahura also offers a variety of educational and historical tourism activities. Visitors can explore trekking trails amidst the pine forest and visit iconic sites like the Japanese Cave and the Dutch Cave, both steeped in historical significance.

Furthermore, the deer breeding area is also a major attraction, especially for children. Direct interaction with these tame animals provides a fun educational experience for the family.

In terms of price, Tahura remains a budget-friendly destination. Entrance fees are Rp 17,000 for domestic tourists and Rp 57,000 for international tourists.

Tickets can be ordered directly through the Sapawarga application which can be downloaded from the Play Store or the iOS App Store.

The Tahura, located at Jalan Ir. H. Djuanda No. 99, Dago Atas, is also relatively easy to access. However, visitors are advised to arrive early to avoid the traffic congestion that often occurs in the area during the holiday season.

Route to Tahura Djuanda:
For travelers from downtown Bandung, the journey can begin from the Alun-Alun Bandung area towards Jalan Ir. H. Djuanda (Dago). Then, follow the straight road towards Dago Atas until you pass the Dago Terminal. From there, continue the journey to the Grand Forest Park, approximately 10–15 minutes away.

Alternatively, visitors can take Jalan Cihampelas or Jalan Dipatiukur, which connect directly to Jalan Ir. H. Djuanda. For private vehicle users, this route is the preferred option due to its clear and easy access.

Meanwhile, for public transportation users, there are public transportation (angkot) routes from Hall Station to Dago that can take you to the Dago area. You can then continue your journey by motorcycle taxi to the Tahura entrance.

The Bandung City Government urges all visitors to adhere to conservation regulations while in the Tahura area. Maintaining cleanliness, avoiding environmental damage, and following the directions of officers are key to maintaining the forest's sustainability.
