PORTALJABAR, DEPOK CITY - Acting Chair of the West Java Province PKK TP Amanda Bey Machmudin appreciated the Depok City PKK cadres who contributed to preventing the transmission of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DBD).

Having increased in March, dengue fever cases in Depok City have decreased this April.

"Thank God the case was resolved. I really appreciate the Depok PKK cadres who went directly to the field," said Amanda Bey Machmudin after meeting with PKK cadres in the Beji District office hall, Depok, Tuesday (30/4/2024).

In efforts to prevent dengue fever, Depok City PKK cadres continue to carry out outreach and education to the community. They are also actively involved in the movement to eradicate mosquito nests (PSN).

Amanda said, in eradicating dengue fever, collaboration is important. For this reason, in its implementation, Depok City PKK cadres collaborated with health students from the University of Indonesia (UI).

"We are also working with partners to overcome this problem, one of which is UI because the campus is close to here," he said.

It is known that the number of dengue fever cases in Depok City in the last three months has continued to increase.

The peak occurred in March, namely 723 cases with three deaths. The average person affected by dengue fever in Depok City is in the productive age group, namely 15 - 44 years.

Amanda hopes that the downward trend in dengue fever cases in April can continue to be maintained in the following months until dengue fever is declared gone in Depok City.

"I hope that dengue fever cases can continue to decline in the following months until they disappear from Beji sub-district and Depok in general," he hoped.
