PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - To ensure the safety and comfort of customers during the 2025 Eid Transportation period, PT Kereta Api Indonesia Regional Operations (Daop) 2 Bandung has prepared 783 joint security personnel.
This personnel consists of KAI internal security officers as well as support from the TNI and POLRI, who are ready to secure the homecoming journey with a humanistic and alert approach.
Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 2 Bandung, Kuswardojo stated that his party is committed to providing the best service for customers who will travel home by train.
"We ensure that all aspects of security and safety at the station and during the journey have been optimally prepared. Collaboration with security forces will further increase the sense of security for customers," said Kuswardojo, Wednesday (3/26/2025).
Security personnel will be on standby at various strategic points, including main stations, rail lines, and inside the trains. In addition, KAI Daop 2 also implements various additional security measures, such as:
• Increased security patrols at stations and rail lines to anticipate travel disruptions.
• Installation of CCTV in various strategic areas to improve surveillance.
• Use of sniffer dogs (K9) to detect potential security threats.
• Optimization of integrated security posts at main stations.
In addition to physical security, KAI Daop 2 Bandung also appeals to all customers to participate in maintaining security and order during the trip. Customers are expected to follow applicable rules, guard their belongings, and immediately report suspicious matters to the officers on duty.
Regarding information on the 2025 Eid Transportation, from data monitoring (updated Wednesday, March 26, 2025) during the 6 days of the Eid transportation period, 90,136 tickets were sold or overall during the Eid transportation period from March 21 to April 11, 2025, 268,277 tickets were sold from 355,696 seats provided, with an occupancy of 75.4%.
