PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Ahead of the match between Persib Bandung and Barito Putera which will be held at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium, Friday (9/5/2025), Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan led a coordination meeting directly with the ranks of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) and sub-district heads.

Preparations are focused on aspects of cleanliness, security, and controlling the euphoria of supporters, especially when there is a Bobotoh victory parade.

Farhan said that mapping areas that are vulnerable to being affected by supporter activities is crucial.

He instructed the sub-district heads to estimate the convoy route and potential disturbances in their respective environments.

"We need to calculate the impact, starting from security to cleanliness in the areas that the parade will pass through," said Farhan.

The Bandung City Government also anticipates the high enthusiasm of Bobotoh which could result in damage to public facilities.

He appreciated all parties who were ready to oversee the progress of the match until the post-match celebration.

"We prevent any destruction. In principle, the masses must continue to move, not gather in one spot," he added.

The Environmental Service (DLH) and regional offices were asked to carry out cleaning early, even before dawn.

Farhan also asked areas such as Regol, Lengkong, and Sumur Bandung to strengthen security in strategic areas, such as Alun-alun Bandung.

Apart from the city center area, attention is also directed to other areas such as Gedebage, Batununggal, Panyileukan, and along Soekarno Hatta.

All crossing points from and to GBLA are ensured to receive extra security and monitoring. Satpol PP is also ordered to be active in the field with regional officers.

"We ensure that the convoy and player buses run safely and orderly," he said.

Farhan also reminded that the euphoria might continue on May 24 and 25, when the Juara parade will be held.

The Bandung City Government also anticipates the arrival of Bobotoh from outside the city who may stay at public points such as around GBLA, Gedung Sate, and City Hall.

Thorough preparation is considered the key to the success of securing and comforting Bandung residents.

"We want a conducive atmosphere, the city remains clean and safe. All parties have a role. Collaboration between regions and OPDs is the main factor in the success of this event," he said. (Bandung City Communication and Information Service/ Rani)
