PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) Draft for Fiscal Year 2024 has been approved and decided by the Bandung City DPRD.

This was decided at the 15th Plenary Meeting at the Bandung City DPRD Building, Wednesday 29 November 2023.

For this reason, Acting Mayor of Bandung Bambang Tirtoyuliono expressed his gratitude for the hard work and collaboration of all parties in formulating the 2024 APBD.

He was grateful that the Bandung City Government and DPRD had succeeded in completing the APBD draft before the specified deadline.

"This is thanks to the cooperation of the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD), the Budget Agency, and all parties involved. "All processes have gone well," he said in delivering the Acting Mayor's final opinion.

Bambang said that the structure of the Bandung City APBD for 2024 is that the revenue budget is allocated IDR 7.38 trillion, the expenditure budget is allocated IDR 7.78 trillion and the financing is allocated IDR 397.29 billion.

He also said that the DPRD had provided recommendations regarding the composition of the APBD which is in contact with the community.

The development priorities for the city of Bandung that will be achieved in 2024 are:

1. Improving and equalizing the quality of education services;
2. Improving and equalizing the quality of health services;
3. Improving and providing basic infrastructure, utilities and city transportation as well as providing and improving social facilities and city public facilities;
4. Increasing people's purchasing power through improving the social protection system and community socio-economic empowerment
5. Strengthening government bureaucratic reform through increasing accountability and quality of public services;
6. Increasing economic growth and equality through increasing the capacity of the quality of the workforce, increasing access and capacity of cooperatives, MSMEs as well as developing destinations and the competitiveness of tourism and waste management.

With the approval of the 2024 APBD, Bambang hopes that the Bandung City Government can provide optimal services for the people of Bandung City.

"Furthermore, after joint approval, it will be submitted to the Governor for further evaluation to be used as a basis for budget implementation and regional apparatus activities. Hopefully it can be implemented according to target," said Bambang.

For information, at the plenary meeting, the 2024 Regional Regulation Formation Program (Propemperda) was also established.
