PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Mayor of Bandung A. Koswara, invited all residents of Bandung City to exercise their voting rights in the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) which will take place tomorrow.

This invitation was conveyed at a joint Pilkada security roll call, Tuesday (11/26/2024).

In his speech, Koswara emphasized the importance of community participation in determining the future of the city of Bandung.

"We appeal to all people who have the right to vote not to waste this opportunity that only comes once every five years. Voting is a form of personal responsibility towards the progress of the City of Bandung," he said.

He also emphasized that the regional elections are a strategic moment to elect leaders who are capable of bringing positive change to this city.

"Today, we show our commitment to the City of Bandung and the implementation of the Pilkada so that good, cool results can be obtained and can provide a better direction for the future of this city," he said.

Koswara ensured that the technical preparations for the Pilkada in Bandung City had gone according to plan. Election logistics had been prepared, and polling stations (TPS) were ready to be used. As a disaster anticipation measure, such as rain, schools had been prepared as alternative locations.

"Today's activities are a very appropriate momentum to welcome tomorrow's activities, namely the voting day. God willing, with all the instruments and devices that have been prepared, we are optimistic and always pray that everything will run conducively, safely, and smoothly," he said.

To ensure the smooth running and security of the Pilkada, joint personnel consisting of various elements, such as security forces, Satpol PP, health workers, and Bandung City ASN are on standby for the implementation of the Pilkada on November 27.

"From the ranks of the Health Center, we have prepared around 80 health workers to support the smooth implementation," he said.

Koswara also appreciated all parties who have worked hard in preparing the Pilkada. With thorough preparation and synergy from all elements of society, the Bandung City Government is optimistic about holding the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada safely, smoothly, and peacefully.

The public is expected to take advantage of this momentum to elect a leader who will bring progress to the city of Bandung.

"Thank you for your commitment and hard work. Hopefully what we do today will produce the best results for the City of Bandung in the future," he said.

The 2024 Pilkada Security Joint Roll Call was attended by 1,500 personnel from the TNI/Polri, as well as the Bandung City Government.
