PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Acting (Pj.) Regent of Bekasi Dedy Supriyadi led the Alert Roll Call and Supervisory Patrol for the Quiet Period of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections held by the Bekasi Regency Bawaslu.

This activity took place at the Bawaslu Office Yard, Karangasih Mini Stadium Complex, North Cikarang, on Saturday (11/23/2024).

The activity was attended by the Chairman of the Bekasi Regency Bawaslu, Akbar Khadafi, the Chairman of the Bekasi Regency KPU Ali Rido, Panwascam, Village Panwas, Sub-district, TNI Polri elements and related regional apparatus.

Dedy Supriyadi appealed to all parties, especially candidate pairs and their supporters, to jointly maintain conducive conditions and comply with all established rules, especially during the quiet period of the Simultaneous Regional Elections on November 23-26, 2024.

"Yes, I invite all parties to work together to maintain conducive conditions, especially during this calm period, so that the implementation of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections can run orderly, smoothly, safely and democratically," he said.

Dedy also asked all State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Bekasi Regency Government (Pemdakab) to maintain neutrality and not show any bias towards certain candidate pairs.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bekasi Regency Bawaslu, Akbar Khadafi, said that his party had prepared all the equipment up to the TPS level and was supervising the distribution of logistics for the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections.

"Today, we have also prepared for the implementation of the three-day quiet period supervision, from November 24-26. All Bawaslu ranks are ready for the Pilkada supervision on November 27," he explained.

Akbar said that during the quiet period of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections, candidate pairs are not allowed to carry out political activities or campaign activities in any form.

"We will also monitor money politics and hate speech via social media," he said.

He said, if during this quiet period it is known that there are candidate pairs or campaign teams conducting any form of campaign, the public can report it to the Panwascam or Bawaslu of Bekasi Regency.

Regarding the regulation of Campaign Equipment (APK), Akbar Khadafi said that based on PKPU No. 13, the authority lies with the General Election Commission (KPU).
