PORTALJABAR, TASIKMALAYA CITY - The job search application "Nyari Gawe" initiated by the West Java Provincial Government has received widespread attention from various regions in Indonesia.

Several provinces, such as Central Java, DKI Jakarta, Kalimantan, and Sumatra, are interested in adopting the application as a means of making it easier for people to find work.

This was conveyed by the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, when attending the 24th Anniversary of Tasikmalaya City, in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Tasikmalaya City DPRD, Jalan RE Martadinata, Friday (17/10/2025).

"Initially, this application was only for internal West Java. But now, many other provinces, such as Central Java, DKI Jakarta, Kalimantan, and Sumatra, are requesting access," he said.

KDM - Dedi Mulyadi's nickname - said that the application will be developed in the future to include English language features so that foreign companies can also search for local workers directly.

"If that's the case, then it's all done," he added.

According to KDM, Nyari Gawe offers a concrete solution to people's difficulties finding work. He believes the traditional method of applying for jobs by bringing physical documents is no longer relevant in the digital age.

"There's no need to apply while carrying around a folder and listening to Iwan Fals' 'Sarjana Muda', it's sad. Now in West Java, we use an application system. Once you've been accepted for the job, you just have to take care of the requirements like the Police Clearance Certificate (SKCK) and health checks," he stressed.

This policy, KDM continued, was taken so that job seekers would not be burdened with administrative costs before being accepted for work.

"Don't make any demands yet. It's a shame, you already know you don't have any money," he said.

Governor KDM emphasized that the government's task is to ensure that the people receive convenience in all matters.

"We were elected by the people to be leaders. Our job is to make them happy and make things run smoothly," he concluded.
