PORTALJABAR, INDRAMAYU REGENCY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi launched the job search application "Nyari Gawe" at PT Sun Bright Lestari, Indramayu Regency, Tuesday (7/10/2025).

The application is expected to be a breakthrough in connecting industry players with prospective local workers more quickly, efficiently, and transparently.

The job search mechanism through the "Nyari Gawe" app is relatively simple. Job seekers' data, such as names and phone numbers, will be provided by the Manpower Office to employers.

"Then, HRD will call you for selection, no application needed. So, there's no need to tire yourself out," KDM told the audience.

According to KDM, the launch of the application is not only about digitizing employment services, but also a concrete effort to create jobs in West Java.

The "Nyari Gawe" application is a concrete step taken by the West Java Provincial Government to strengthen an adaptive and community-oriented employment ecosystem, especially for job seekers in industrial areas such as Indramayu and its surroundings.

Meanwhile, Indramayu Regent Lucky Hakim expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the launch of the "Nyari Gawe" app. He stated that this app can create order in the recruitment process and prevent illegal levies that often harm job seekers.

"We are very grateful for this app. We've been concerned about seeing people pushing and shoving to work, some even fainting. They're actually working, not asking for money," said Lucky.

He added that the regional government had repeatedly appealed that there be no levies in the job recruitment process.
"If you want to work in a shoe factory, you have to pay two million, two and a half million, and buy a uniform. That's not allowed. With this app, everything is clearer and can be accessed directly," he stressed.

The event saw 100 job seekers attend in person. Sixteen companies participated offline, recruiting 530 people. Meanwhile, 17 companies participated online, potentially opening 11,500 jobs by the end of 2025.

Based on projections, the potential for job vacancies until 2026 is estimated to increase by 25 percent, reaching 14,375 job positions.
