PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - The Summit Institute for Development (SID) together with the Garut District Health Service held a launch event for the Open Smart Register Platform (OpenSRP) Application and Digitalization of Home Visits (7/2/2024).

This application is a new breakthrough in primary health care. OpenSRP is an open source and free platform.

This launch event was attended by the CEO of the Summit Institute for Development (SID), Yuni Dwi Setyawati, SID Senior Advisor Ferdinand Laihad,
Head of the Public Health Division of the Garut District Health Service, Tri Cahyo Nugroho, and various other stakeholders.

According to Yuni Dwi Setyawati, OpenSRP is an open source platform that can be adopted by anyone freely and without cost, thereby enabling the development of a global health system that has a local impact.

"OpenSRP is a platform that can be adopted by ladies and gentlemen. So if you want to make an application for digitalization, it is freely available, can be made and there is no cost," he said.

Meanwhile, Ferdinand Laihad explained that the main focus in this meeting was two things, namely, Primary Care Integration (ILP) services and health technology transformation through digitalization.

Tri Cahyo Nugroho welcomed the launch of the OpenSRP Application and the digitization of home visits in Garut.

"So, Garut Regency is currently implementing Primary Health Services Integration. Maybe we are the only Regency/City where all Puskesmas will implement ILP," said Tri Cahyo.

Tri also expressed his gratitude to SID for facilitating the launch of the OpenSRP Application and hopes that it can improve the level of public health in Garut Regency.

"Thank you to SID for facilitating this activity and of course we want the health status of the people of Garut to improve even further," he added.
