PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Assistant for Government and Public Welfare (ASDA I) of Garut Regency, Bambang Hafidz attended and opened the Islamic Religious Education Skills and Arts Week (PENTAS PAI) of Garut Regency Vocational Schools at the Indonesian Education Institute (IPI) Campus, Jalan Terusan Pahlawan, Tarogong Kudul District, Saturday (18/10/2025).

Bambang Hafidz appreciated the PAI PENTAS event and emphasized that this activity was very important for developing male and female vocational school students.

"Through the PAI Performance event, four things will grow. First, the emergence of motivation to practice and learn from vocational school students. Second, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship among students who participate in the competition. Third, fostering mental values among male and female students. Fourth, fostering the values of cooperation in competition activities," explained Bambang.

He advised all participants to continue to uphold sportsmanship and have high motivation so that the fighting spirit they have acquired can continue to be fostered and developed.

The organizing committee, Fakhrudin Abbas, reported that the PENTAS PAI (Islamic Religious Education Competition) is held every two years and attracts 800 participants from all vocational schools in Garut Regency. Seven competitions are being held: MTQ (Quran Recitation), Speech, Nasyid (National Religious Speech), Debate, Olympiad, Hadroh (Hadroh), and Content Creator.

Fakhrudin explained that the winners of the competition will be the representatives of Garut Regency to compete at the West Java Provincial level which is planned to be held on November 8, 2025 at the UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung Campus.

One of the participants in the Olympic Debate category, Resa Fitriani from As Syarief Islamic Vocational School, explained that her reason for participating was to gain experience in the field.
