PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The holy month of Ramadan continues to provide blessings for its people. One of them is by sharing with each other. This is also carried out by the Indonesian Chef Association (ICA) of West Java together with the At Taqwa Foundation KPAD Bandung.
The association provided 1,000 portions of kebuli rice and bryni to residents at the At Taqwa KPAD Gegerlalong Mosque (18/3/2025).
The Middle Eastern specialty rice was specially made for Bandung residents to eat when breaking the fast. It contains rice, chicken, dates, crackers and mineral water.
The Head of ICA West Java, Bony Witjaksono, said that as many as 30 chefs from various hotels and regions participated in this activity.
"We deliberately included chefs from various hotels to experience the beauty of sharing," he said.
Meanwhile, the Daily Chair of the At Taqwa Foundation, Luthfi Yudi, said that the activity was to develop the mosque environment in addition to preaching and sharing with others.
"This activity is to develop the mosque, not only for preaching, but also to collaborate to improve social activities in the community," he explained.
Apart from the mosque area, he said that this activity would also be developed in the Islamic boarding school environment.
"We will also start going to Islamic boarding schools. This provides education so that the food consumed by students is hygienic and varied," he said.
Support was also expressed by the Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Erwin. According to him, the activity was very positive in the holy month of Ramadan.
